Disney World’s Halloween Boo Bash is a great time for the whole family! The event features Mickey Mouse and his pals in their best Halloween costumes. There are some spooky activities to take part in, such as trick-or-treating throughout the theme parks. It really is a delightfully frightening time of year at Walt Disney World Resort!
Where is Boo Bash?
The Disney After Hours Boo Bash is an exclusive Halloween-themed event at Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It is a brand new after hours event for Fall 2021.
When is the Boo Bash?
In 2021, the after-hours Boo Bash begins on August 10th and ends on October 31st. The party starts at 9:00 or 9:30pm (depending on the date) after Magic Kingdom closes for the night and lasts for 3 hours. (Don’t worry, you won’t turn into a pumpkin at midnight!)
Ticket holders can enter the park starting at 7:00pm, and you DO NOT need a park day pass or park reservation on top of your Halloween Boo Bash ticket.
What to Expect at Disney’s Boo Bash
This year, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has been replaced with a new event called the Halloween Boo Bash. Just like in years before, guests can enjoy Disney After Hours, which means they’ll have access to all the fun rides and attractions after the park closes for regular guests.
Some of the fun you can expect at Disney’s Boo Bash includes:
- Trick-or-treating stations will be set up throughout the park for guests of all ages to get Halloween candy! Plus, ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select drinks are INCLUDED with your ticket purchase.
- Cavalcades including: Mickey’s Happy Halloween, Disney Villains, Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Maleficent as a fire breathing dragon (one of our personal favorites!)
- Guests attending Disney World’s Boo Bash can also dress in their favorite Halloween costumes.
- Character appearances including Haunted Mansion favorites, Goofy, and Chip and Dale.
- Shorter lines at some of your favorite rides in Magic Kingdom!
How Much Are Disney Boo Bash Tickets?
Like previous events, ticket prices are dependent on the event date. Prices range from $129-199 per adult or child. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member or Annual Passholder, you can save $10 on tickets for dates in August and September. You can view prices and purchase Boo Bash tickets on the Disney website.
Halloween Merchandise
There are tons of great Disney-themed Halloween mugs, candy, and more at the Disney Parks. You’ll find them in select stores or you can order some items online.
Halloween items are starting to pop up on the ShopDisney website, including this adorable bag flair keychain:
Or, you can make your own shirt with one of our popular Halloween SVG designs!
Halloween Treats and Drinks
There are also plenty of Halloween exclusive treats available at various carts around the parks. Disney does a fantastic job planning events to coincide with holidays and this is no exception.
Some of the highlights from years past include the Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake a Haunted Mansion themed cupcake with an axe on the top, a pumpkin spice milkshake complete with an orange Mickey-shaped marshmallow, and even a poor unfortunate souls Ursula ice cream float with a wicked twist. Even Auntie Galactic’s served pumpkin ice cream last year!
A fan favorite from a couple of years ago was this Hocus Pocus cupcake! We are excited to see the over-the-top themed desserts at Boo Bash this year!
Characters in Costume
Another fun thing during Halloween at Disney World is that you’ll see characters dressed up in spooky costumes and greeting guests throughout the parks.
In addition to costumed characters, there are also several special characters that make appearances during this season. Although the exact characters are subject to change, you can hope to find some favorite villains like Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog or the Evil Queen from Snow White, as well as other popular Disney villains.
It’s a great way for kids (or adults) to take a selfie with these memorable Disney icons – just be sure not to forget your camera!
